The body produces energy all the time. When energy is produced, waste products are also produced. At normal energy levels and stress levels, the body is able to neutralize and get rid of the waste products (free radicals) that are produced in the body.

Stress does not always have to be linked to time pressure and a large workload or many tasks. Stress can also be linked to grief, conflicts, difficult relationships, the feeling of not being enough and other emotional factors

With persistent stress over time, so much waste products are formed that the body is unable to get rid of it. This is called oxidative stress.

The consequences of oxidative stress are that we get tired more quickly, are exhausted and have poor concentration. In the long run, it can lead to serious illness. If free radicals are not neutralized, they will attack our cells and destroy the cell membrane in the cell wall.
